A+E Networks to launch Crime + Investigation Play as stand-alone D2C app

US-based A+E Networks is launching its Crime + Investigation Play product as a direct-to-consumer streaming service in EMEA.

Crime + Investigation Play will start its rollout on September 5 in the UK with more than 1,000 hours of library programming and local originals.

The initial line-up will include the latest UK commissions, such as Rob Rinder’s Interrogation Secrets and Murdertown 4; franchises like Meet, Marry, Murder, The Jail: 60 Days In, Killer Britain with Dermot Murnaghan, Homicide Hunter and The First 48; and docuseries such as Surviving R Kelly, Secrets of Playboy and Surviving Jeffrey Epstein.

Crime + Investigation Play has been available since 2019 on Amazon Prime Video Channels and Apple TV Channels in the UK, Italy, Germany and the Netherland.

The new D2C rollout will see Crime + Investigation Play become available through an app and across multiple platforms.

The launch was announced today by Dean Possenniskie, MD of A+E Networks UK & EMEA.
