24 Kitchen, Abu Dhabi TV get Together at the Table with The Story Lab

Chef Cyril Lignac in the original All Together at the Table

MIPCOM: Dutch channel 24 Kitchen and Abu Dhabi TV in the UAE have ordered local versions of factual entertainment format All Together at the Table, created by Parisian prodco Kitchen Factory Production.

The latest deals mean the show, which originated in France and is distributed by The Story Lab, has now been licensed in six territories worldwide, including in Mexico by Discovery.

The format features a famous chef hosting a live, interactive cooking class from their home kitchen, with several families and a celebrity guest joining to follow the instructions from their own homes. The chef works against the clock to prepare two courses for four people, with the menu and necessary ingredients revealed beforehand so viewers can cook along in real time.

In the Netherlands, the format will be titled De Grootste Kookclub van Nederland and will premiere on 24 Kitchen this month, produced by local company Tin Can. Abu Dhabi TV’s version will air across the Middle East, with In Media Plus producing.

All Together at the Table originated on M6 France as Tous en Cuisine and is now in its fourth season.

In related news, The Story Lab has added factual entertainment formats Back to Nature, Apartment to Dream House and Beer Masters to its sales slate.

Back to Nature, from Denmark’s Impact TV, is an experimental format that focuses on the climate emergency and originally aired on local pubcaster DR. Two hosts join forces on a mission to re-establish as much nature as possible through rewilding. Production on season two is already underway in Denmark.

Apartment to Dream House, from Impact TV for Danish broadcaster TV2, is a factual entertainment lifestyle series. The show begins with the two hosts, – a real estate agent and a designer – buying an old-fashioned one-bedroom apartment for a bargain price then fixing it up to sell it for profit. They then use this profit to buy a bigger property in a more desirable location, with the aim of buying their dream home by the end of the series.

Beer Masters, created by London-based Electric Robin, sees five home brewers battle it out for the prize of developing and launching their own beer. The original is hosted by singer-songwriter (and beer lover) James Blunt, supported by top beer presenter and microbrewery owner Jaega Wise. The five-part series will debut on a major streaming platform in November, according to The Story lab. Both format and finished tape rights are available.

All new acquisitions will be presented by The Story Lab at this week’s Mipcom conference in Cannes.
