NBCU alum Tiffin joins So Television

ITV-owned UK production company So Television has hired a former NBCUniversal and BBC Studios executive as its creative director of development.

The experienced Matt Tiffin will report to MD Graham Stuart at the London-based firm and will be responsible for developing new entertainment formats.

Tiffin has 15 years of format creation experience working for high-profile companies including Remedy Productions, NBCUniversal’s Tellycopter and Chocolate Media, BBC Studios, Eyeworks UK and RDF Television.

His production and development credits include Ready or Not and Walk on the Wild Side (BBC1), The 21st Question (ITV), The Great American Road Trip (NBC), Shipwrecked: Battle of the Islands (C4) and How Much is Enough? (GSN).

Stuart said: “Matt knows how to create hit formats, which is the single best quality anyone in television can have. We are very much looking forward to putting the So name on his next batch.”

Tiffin added: ” As a massive fan of entertainment television I’m thrilled to be joining the team at So Television. They have an outstanding track record in the genre as well as unparalleled talent relationships, and I can’t wait to see what we can create together.”

The appointment follows the arrival of Darren Smith and Mary Doyle at the firm at the end of 2018.
