Nat Geo spotlights JFK

National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) has commissioned a feature-length special to run alongside forthcoming factual drama Killing Kennedy.

UK factual indie Blast! Films is working on JFK: Seven Days That Made a President (1×120′) to premiere in November.

The special will be shown alongside Killing Kennedy, starring Rob Lowe, to mark the 50th anniversary of the assassination of John F Kennedy.

Another anniversary special has also been greenlit for September. Testimony Films’ 9/11 Firehouse (1×60′) looks at Ten House, the fire station next to the World Trade Center in New York. The firefighters based there were the first ones in and the last ones out when the planes struck the towers 12 years ago.

NGCI has also renewed its Scam City series for a 10×60′ second season. The Handel and Zig Zag Productions show explores the murky underworld of beautiful holiday destinations. It will roll out across 170 countries in early 2014.
