MTG extends Paradise Hotel stay

Scandinavian broadcaster Modern Times Group (MTG) has extended its order for primetime competition reality show Paradise Hotel.

The format, distributed by Passion Distribution, features 11 singletons who live a life of luxury in an exclusive resort and must survive being eliminated to win a cash prize.

MTG-owned TV3 in Sweden, Norway and Denmark have all commissioned new seasons of the show, which has been produced in 12 territories including the US, Russia and Israel.

The format, which is into its tenth season in Denmark, was originally created by UK prodco Mentorn Media and first aired on Fox in 2003.
