Mentorn Media promotes Simpson

Tinopolis-owned Mentorn Media has promoted Tayte Simpson to director of programmes, replacing Hannah Wyatt who departed the UK firm earlier this year.

Simpson joined Mentorn Media last year as director of factual and takes up his new position with immediate effect.

He replaces Wyatt, who left in March to join FrementleMedia-owned factual prodco Boundless as its new creative director.

Prior to Mentorn, Simpson was head of factual at Zodiak Media-owned RDF Television where he worked on such shows as Wife Swap, Secret Millionaire and BBC’s Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents.

In the last year, Simpson has been responsible for three-part series Freshers for ITV2, Crazy About One Direction for C4 and was involved with Taxidermy, a one-off hour-long documentary, also for C4.
