Raghav and Seema Vashisht welcome home their 13 year old son, Sunny from the adventure of starring in his first ever Bollywood film, Superdad. In the life of the middle class Vashisht family, Sunny’s new found career opportunity was their ticket to a brighter tomorrow and therefore they are all extremely excited about it. However, contrary to their expectations, Sunny returns from his shooting schedule a little quiet and reserved. Concerned by his behaviour, they ask him if everything is alright. Sunny tries hard to evade the topic but eventually confesses that he was sexually molested by the very popular actor-producer of Superdad, Vikram Bajaj. The Vashisht’s cannot believe the tragedy that has befallen their son and grasp at straws to find a way to hold Vikram Bajaj accountable.

However, as the news of the video recording of his act existing reaches Vikram Bajaj’s ears - Raghav and Seema receive an intimation from his legal team. That convinces them that they have no chance of winning this case in court. Under pressure and with the threat of Sunny’s bright career prospects evaporating, Seema and Raghav accept the terms and conditions laid out in front of them. They sign a non – disclosure agreement in exchange for Hush Money

As the Vashisht’s try to return to a life of normalcy – aspects of Seema and Raghav’s past start to catch up with them, even as Sunny continues to remain emotionally conflicted about what had happened to him and his way forward. His older sister Shreya, who has been kept in the dark tries to make sense of her family as they seem to unravel under the weight of this Dark Money.
