Lime squeezes in unscripted trio

All3Media-owned UK producer Lime Pictures has expanded its unscripted division with the addition of three executives.

Rebecca Kenny-Smith has joined as creative director of current programming, having most recently been the executive producer of Lime’s True Love or True Lies for MTV in the UK.

With credits including Big Brother and MasterChef, she will oversee shows such as ITV2’s The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE) and MTV’s Geordie Shore at Lime.

Also arriving at the company are ITV Studios executive producer Kevin O’Brien, who recently worked on ITV’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, and former TOWIE exec producer Andrew Jackman, who both join as development executives to work on new shows and recommissions.

The trio will work under Lime head of non-scripted Sarah Tyekiff, who said the trio would “support our current slate of programming, work alongside our development team and prepare for some exciting new commissions.”

She added: “Rebecca, Kevin and Andrew bring with them a wealth of experience across both development and production, which is paramount as we focus on expansion of the business through new formats with a variety of partners on both sides of the Atlantic.”

Lime’s slate includes Channel 4 teen soap Hollyoaks, drama Free Rein for Netflix and unscripted show The Lovers & The Liars for MTV in the UK.

Last month the firm linked up with Mark Robinson, the founder of ITV Studios factual arm Shiver, to launch non-scripted production company Wise Owl Films in the north of England.
