Keshet sitcom goes to Greece

MIPCOM: Greek commercial broadcaster Alpha TV has greenlit a local version of a family sitcom picked up from Israeli format specialist Keshet International.

Your Family or Mine will be produced by Greek outfit Plus Productions to air under a title that translates as Your Family or Your Kin.

A minimum run of 40 episodes will launch on October 23, written by Apostolis Tsaousoglou and directed by Nikos Zapatinas.

Your Family or Mine, which was originally produced by Tedy productions for Keshet Broadcasting, was also picked up by US cable network TBS earlier this year and is being produced by Sony Pictures Television.

The commission is the latest move back into original unscripted commissions by Alpha, which began last year. The show will centre on a traditional Greek Sunday lunch that can often erupt into raucous arguments.
