About the Role
ABC News, Analysis & Investigations is seeking an emerging Multiplatform Producer with great storytelling skills and contracts to provide daily production support to ensure the Specialist Reporting Team's Indigenous Affairs coverage remains agenda-setting with consistently high standards of original, innovative and relevant output on all ABC platforms and leading programs. 

You'll work closely with the National Indigenous Affairs Correspondent and other reporters, regularly pitching ideas, angles, talent and follow-up stories as well as researching and producing original stories.

Job Requirements:

About You
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated journalist with broadcast and digital experience to work in a deadline-driven news/current affairs environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is essential
  • You’ll also be curious and passionate about telling stories and investigating social and political issues affecting Indigenous Australians
  • You'll be able to work effectively in a small team and thrive in a collaborative and creative environment
  • Ideally, you’ll possess well-developed writing and field production skills, as well as proficiency in audio and video programs and digital photography
