Intrigue aims for Oh My Dog remake

MIPCOM: US producer Intrigue has picked up the local format rights to talent reality series Oh My Dog from Israel’s Gil Productions.

The show, which is distributed by Gil and aired on Israel’s The Children’s Channel, sees dogs and their owners partake in a variety of challenges to be crowned best dog and owner duo in the country.

Through a mentoring scheme, the participating dogs are taught how to cooperate with their owners as well as learning how to be disciplined.

“The format is ideal for the territory and we trust that in the capable hands of Intrigue it will find a suitable broadcaster,” said Assaf Gil, CEO of Gil Productions.

Gil Productions, which also created the format, is launching as a distributor here in Cannes and is shopping Oh My Dog and another eight original formats.
