Hot return for Queens

Israeli broadcaster Hot has ordered a second season of gangster drama Queens.

The show will again be produced by Endemol Shine Israel and is set to air in 2020. The first season, launched in December last year, was the network’s most watched series of 2018.

Queens was created by Gal Zaid, Dani Rosenberg, Ruth Zaid and Dror Nobelman, based on an idea by Limor Nahmias. It’s distributed by Endemol Shine International.

The show follows a group of women who are left to stand on their and run their families after their mafia husbands are killed in an attack.

Endemol Shine Israel is led by Amir Ganor and has three forthcoming dramas on its slate for domestic network Yes, including Dark Woods, Just for Today and Fifty.
