History in Israel adds Nazi doc series

History Channel in Israel has picked up a Second World War documentary series from LA- and Paris-based distributor Prime Entertainment Group.

Einsatzgruppen: The Nazi Death Squads (4×52’/2×90′) tells the little-known story of the massacre of nearly two million men, women and children shot to death in Eastern Europe and the Baltic states early in the war.

The series has already aired on broadcasters including France 2, Polsat in Poland, Société Radio Canada and PBS America, as well as Netflix, and was acquired recently by Rai in Italy. Last year it was picked up by Scandinavian production and distribution outfit SunTower Entertainment.

History Channel in Israel is operated by local networks operator Telad, which also operates franchises such as E! and Lifetime.
