HBO Latino preps book adaptation

Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones

HBO Latino has lined up an original 13-part romantic comedy about a 30-year-old divorcee and an investigative sports documentary series to air this spring.

As part of its forthcoming schedule, the Spanish-language version of the US premium network will air Mujer de Fases (aka States of Grace), about a divorced woman looking for love. It is based on the book Louca por Homen (Crazy for Men) by Brazilian author Claudia Tajes.

Destino Deporte (Sports Destination) is a documentary series that goes behind the scorelines to explore the world of sport, including the Lucha Libre wrestling circuit in Mexico City, Brazil’s preparations for the 2016 Olympic Games, drug use and fear of retirement.

HBO Latino will also premiere Spanish-language films in the Estrenos Latinos block on Friday evenings. Other new content will include HBO original programmes such as the second season of Game of Thrones, new series Girls and Veep, documentary The Weight of the Nation and HBO sports events.
