HBO explores declining US health

US premium cablenet HBO has ordered a documentary that delves into the reasons for a decline in life expectancy in America.

One Nation Under Stress is directed by Marc Levin, who produces with Daphne Pinkerson, and explores why the US went from having one of the highest life expectancies in the 1960s to now ranking near the bottom of the major developed nations.

It will air on March 25 and follows neurosurgeon and CNN chief medical correspondent Dr Sanjay Gupta as he examines the reasons for this historic decline.

The doc will also be available on OTT services including HBO Now, HBO Go, HBO On Demand and partners’ streaming platforms.
