Edward Ricourt (Jessica Jones, Wayward Pines, Raising Dion) has signed up to write Meshed, which will be produced through Gunpowder & Sky’s Dust label.

Based on the short story of the same name by Rich Larson and set in the not-so-distant future, the series centres around Mesh technology, which provides an immersive experience of professional basketball through the eyes of its athletes.

Last month Gunpowder & Sky and Disney-owned streamer Hulu agreed to partner on 69: The Saga of Danny Hernandez, a true crime documentary about the rise and fall of rapper Tekashi69, one of the most controversial figures in contemporary pop culture.

In November, Gunpowder & Sky’s Dust announced it is developing Moreau, a sci-fi TV series that puts a modern spin on classic novel The Island of Dr Moreau by HG Wells.
