GRB’s Untold Stories reach Africa

African and Middle Eastern broadcasters have picked up a real-life medical series and a motoring show from GRB Entertainment.

SET Networks Africa has acquired six seasons and 10 specials of Untold Stories of the ER, which is distributed and produced by the US-based company.

Elsewhere, Viacom Africa has picked up Ain’t That America, hosted by rapper Lil Duval and Girl Code’s Carly Aquilino as they explore the US through outrageous viral videos.

The broadcaster has also taken comedy series Bloopers, from Dick Clark Productions, while AMC Networks will air daredevil automotive series Jet Truck on its pan-European, Middle Eastern and African networks.

It will also broadcast hip-hop show This is Hot 97, a comical behind-the-scenes look at New York’s radio scene and its larger-than-life personalities.

Michael Lolato, senior VP of international distribution at GRB, said the sales “demonstrate the diversified catalogue of GRB – comedy, automotive, real-life hospital drama and music docuseries.”
