Gould makes Pact move

UK producers’ trade body Pact has brought in Zig Zag Productions’ Matt Gould as exec VP of its fledgling US arm.

Pact announced in January that it was expanding in the US by opening an office there to represent the interests of UK and, in future, US indies in the territory. Former National Geographic Channel CEO David Lyle was last month appointed to lead the division as president.

Gould will be the voice of Pact US for the East Coast and will work with Lyle to boost awareness of the newly formed organisation.

He has overseen programmes such as Travel Channel’s Man vs. Food, Discovery Channel’s American Chopper, TLC’s Trauma: Life in the E.R. and truTV’s Storage Hunters.

Gould was most recently exec VP of Zig Zag Productions, where he was responsible for leading US business and programming efforts for networks including Syfy, National Geographic Channel, A&E, Nickelodeon and others.
