France TV rides with Cowboy Hamster

Billy the Cowboy Hamster is based on books by Catharina Valckx

Pubcaster France Télévisions has boarded the latest preschool project from boutique animation production and distribution company Dandelooo.

Based on a series of six books by Dutch author and illustrator Catharina Valckx, Billy the Cowboy Hamster follows the titular character and his two friends, Jean-Claude the worm and Little Rain the stone marten, as they embark on thrill-seeking adventures.

The series is directed by Swiss illustrator Antoine Rota and is due to premiere in 2021. Dandelooo co-founders Jean Baptiste Wéry and Emmanuèle Petry said Billy the Cowboy Hamster would “immerse kids with its fun, quirky and absurd humour.”
