France TV chronicles sun for Mipcom

Chronicles of the Sun

France TV Distribution is bringing new dramas Chronicles of the Sun and Crimson Wedding to Mipcom next month as part of a slate of scripted, unscripted and children’s programming.

Chronicles of the Sun (235×22’), which was unveiled earlier this month at Le Rendez-vous, is produced by France.tv Studio (fka MFP) and Epéios Productions for France 2.

The plot follows the aftermath of a woman’s return to Montpellier after a 17-year absence, only to be arrested when the childhood friend she had arranged to meet with is murdered.

Scarlett Production’s Crimson Wedding (6×52’), which aired on France 3 during the summer, tells the story of a family reunion for a wedding that turns to tragedy when the bride is found dead at the bottom of a cliff.

Also on the drama slate is EVS Productions’ Kepler (6×52’), which follows a cop with dissociative identity disorder investigating the murder of a girl in Calais, and season three of Mon Voisin Productions and Mother Productions’ Call My Agent (6×52’), the Netflix show about a talent agency.

In documentary, Apocalypse: Never-Ending War (2×45’), produced by CC&C, tells the story of the years of precariousness and conflict that followed the First World War. The Secret Life of the Garden explores the hundreds of tiny dramas that take place in an everyday garden. Finally, 2 Degrees: Threats to the Paris Agreement, produced by Siècle Productions, addresses the global political and societal issue of climate change.

Additionally, animations Dimitri S2 (24×5’ and 1×13’), produced by Vivement Lundi!; Bayard Jeunesse Animation’s The Little Brown Bear (52×7’); and Ubisoft Motion Pictures’ Rabbids Invasion S4 (78×7’) are also available.
