Fox’s Pitch strikes out

Fox in the US has axed its drama produced in partnership with Major League Baseball after just one season.

Pitch, from writers and exec producers Dan Fogelman (This Is Us, Cars) and Rick Singer (American Dad), tells the story of a young pitcher who becomes the first woman to play Major League Baseball.

The show, which stars Kylie Bunbury (Under The Dome), was produced by 20th Century Fox Television and took the Tuesday 21.00 slot.

Kevin Falls, Tony Bill, Helen Bartlett, Jess Rosenthal and Paris Barclay were amongst other exec producers.
