Evolution Media picks partner

US unscripted prodco Evolution Media has promoted a veteran exec producer to partner and has bolstered its creative team.

In his expanded role, Alex Baskin will continue to oversee Evolution’s development team and provide creative oversight for all Evolution productions, from pre-production to post.

Baskin, who joined Evolution in 2006, will work on a slate that includes Real Housewives of Orange County (Bravo), Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (Bravo), Vanderpump Rules (Bravo) and Botched (E!).

He joins CEO Douglas Ross and chief financial officer Gregory B Stewart as partner and will continue in his role as executive VP of programming and development.

Meanwhile, Sara Hansemann has been appointed VP of development and Robert Carroll has been named VP of current. The duo will report to Baskin.

Hansemann, who joined Evolution in 2014 as VP of development, is tasked with generating new character-driven documentary series and creating original formats for US broadcast and cable networks.

In his new role, Carroll will manage Evolution’s current slate. Previously, he was a freelance producer on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, The Real Housewives of Orange County and Botched.
