eOne, ShowMax agree Polish pick-ups

Hell on Wheels

South Africa-based streamer ShowMax has struck a package deal with Entertainment One (eOne) for shows including Hell on Wheels and Halt & Catch Fire for its fledgling service in Poland.

ShowMax is from South African media giant Naspers and launched in Poland earlier this year, securing shows such as BBC drama SS-GB.

It has now secured a raft of programming from eOne, including seasons one to five of Hell on Wheels, the first three seasons of Turn: Washington’s Spies and the first two seasons of Welcome to Sweden.

The Polish service will also offer The Firm, the first three seasons of Halt & Catch Fire and the first five seasons of Haven, with the deal brokered by Carolina den Baas, director for CEE and CIS sales at eOne.
