Duck Dynasty spreads wings

Broadcasters across Europe and Asia have picked up the record-breaking third season of A+E Networks hit reality series
Duck Dynasty.

The season three premiere of the swamp-based reality series, which focuses on the Robertson family and their thriving duck-calling business, attracted 8.6 million viewers – the highest ever on A&E.

The season has now been picked up in Europe by TV3 in Denmark, TV5 in Finland, Hungary’s Pro4, Veronica in Holland, Kanal 9 in Sweden, Norway’s TV2.

Further afield Mediacorp has taken the season for Singapore where it will air on History, OLN has it for Canada and Ztélé for French speaking Canada.

The success of the series helped convince UK commercial broadcaster ITV to pay US$40m for a 61.5% controlling stake in the show’s creator Gurney Productions in December.
