Disney takes Sunny Bunnies to Korea

Sunny Bunnies is from distributor Media IM

MIPJUNIOR: Disney Channel in South Korea has picked up Belarussian preschool animated series Sunny Bunnies from distributor Media IM.

Disney Junior and Disney Channel will air the show in blocks every weekday in South Korea, with Disney Junior also committing to weekend slots.

To support the launch, Media IM’s brand licensing director Gavin Metcalfe has brokered a deal with Asiana Licensing, which will represent the brand in the territory.

Media IM has also closed a deal for the show with Vietnamese MCN operator Yeah1 Group, which owns a digital media platform in Asia. Under the non-exclusive deal, Yeah1 will air the first three seasons of Sunny Bunnies on its children’s channels in Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and elsewhere.

Furthermore, an agreement with WildBrain has been extended to see the online children’s network and studio remaining Media IM’s exclusive MCN in South-East Asia. It will hold non-exclusive rights to Sunny Bunnies in the same territories as Yeah1.
