CTV adopts Young Sheldon, Roseanne

Bell Media-owned Canadian broadcaster CTV has added a number of new US shows to its slate following the LA Screenings, including The Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon.

CTV has acquired The Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon

It joins fellow comedies Me, Myself & I from CBS and the revival of Roseanne and The Mayor from ABC.

The Canuck network has also added dramas including The Gospel of Kevin, For the People, Ten Days in the Valley, Deception, Marvel’s Inhumans and The Crossing from the Alphabet.

They join the as-yet untitled Grey’s Anatomy spin-off, about a group of fireman, and The Good Doctor, based on a South Korean format, on CTV’s slate. The Gifted from Fox has also been acquired.

Mike Cosentino, senior VP of content and programming at Bell Media, said the “strategically curated mix of the year’s most buzzed-about sitcoms and compelling dramas sets the stage for viewers to root for both heroes, families and even misfits with heart.”
