Channel 5 boards Discovery+ volcano doc

Yellowstone looks at the supervolcanoes beneath the national park

ViacomCBS-owned UK terrestrial Channel 5 has come onboard a feature documentary about the huge volcanoes underneath Yellowstone National Park in the US.

Yellowstone: Super Volcanoes was originally commissioned by new factual streaming service Discovery+ and is being produced by Cardiff-based factual indie Wildflame Productions.

The 1×90’ doc will now be broadcast in the UK by Channel 5 and sold internationally by Flame Distribution.

It explores a powerful threat that lies seven miles below America’s most famous National Park and the consequences of an eruption.

Yellowstone: Super Volcanoes was commissioned by Ben Dwertman for Discovery+ and Adrian Padmore for Channel 5. It will premiere on Discovery+ on June 3.
