CBeebies’ Clangers reboot renewed

UK kids broadcaster CBeebies has renewed its rebooted version of classic animation Clangers for a third season as the brand prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

The 26×11’ third season, in production now ahead of a 2019 debut, is again a coproduction between CBeebies, UK kids’ entertainment firm Coolabi Group, UK-based Bagpuss producer Smallfilms and BBC Studios.

Coolabi holds the international rights to the property, with BBC Studios distributing the rebooted version globally.

Clangers, which returned to the BBC in 2015, 46 years after its initial debut, is narrated by Michael Palin and follows a family of loveable pink mouse-like creatures who live on a little blue planet in outer space.
