CBC, Radio Canada strike All3 deals

Travel Man sees Richard Ayoade visit foreign cities with celebrities

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and its French-language counterpart Radio Canada have acquired a raft of programming from UK-based distributor All3Media International.

CBC has added Travel Man: 48 Hours in…, produced by UK prodco North One for local broadcaster Channel 4, to the slate of its streaming service Gem, along with Raw TV documentary Bollywood: The World’s Biggest Film Industry, which was produced for UK pubcaster BBC2.

The Canuck pubcaster has also picked up Hansala Productions’ Meghan & Harry: A Royal Baby Story, a one-hour special for TLC USA about the newest member of the UK royal family, as well as Spun Gold TV’s one-hour special Secrets of the Royal Babies, originally produced for ITV in the UK.

Meanwhile, Radio Canada has added Drowning in Plastic, the acclaimed documentary produced by Raw TV for BBC1, which investigates the global environmental impact of marine plastic pollution.
