Bunim/Murray ties with Theron

Reality TV specialist Bunim/Murray Productions has formed a joint venture with Hollywood actor Charlize Theron’s production company.

Banijay Group’s Bunim/Murray will work with Los Angeles-based Denver & Delilah to develop and produce unscripted programming with a focus on reality shows.

The JV is currently working on a US version of Banijay International’s Norwegian reality dating show Origins of Love, to be called Passport to Love.

It has also optioned Whose Closet is it Anyway, an Israeli reality format from Keshet International that follows the reactions of family and friends when women swap the contents of each other’s wardrobes.

Denver & Delilah, which has produced feature films including Monster and has TV shows in development for HBO, previously worked together on Glam Squad, a competition show exec produced by Theron for US cable net Style Media.

“As we developed Glam Wars, we realised there were so many possible projects to partner on and this joint venture is a natural evolution,” said Gil Goldschein, president of Bunim/Murray Productions.
