Bron Studios hires, promotes for TV team

North American film prodco Bron Studios has hired an agent from Endeavor Content and promoted a second as it seeks to boost its domestic and international television activity.

Pippa Lambert is joining the company’s LA office as executive VP of domestic television while David Davoli is being promoted to executive VP of international television, based in New York.

Lambert was previously a senior associate at Endeavor Content, where she focused on packaging, finance and sales for the US and global markets on behalf of some of artists and content creators. From 2006 to 2016, Lambert ran ICM’s London office where she represented producers and global rights holders across scripted, non-scripted and digital content.

Davoli was previously senior VP of business affairs at Bron Studios, working with the development, production and finance teams to close deals on its feature film and TV slate. He has sourced and structured several international coproductions.

Before joining Bron, Davoli was in private practice for 13 years as an entertainment attorney where he worked as production, finance or distribution counsel on over 50 independent film, television and new media programmes.

The pair have been tasked with building a television business under the Bron Studios banner. Since its formation in 2010, Bron has been behind feature films including Denzel’s Washington’s Fences, Clint Eastwood’s The Mule and Debra Granik’s Leave No Trace.

They will work with creators and filmmakers from around the world to develop, package and produce premium television for global markets, the company said in a statement on Monday.

In addition to making talent deals with leading creatives, Lambert and Davoli will work with other Bron divisions to source TV opportunities, and identify third-party domestic and international production companies for partnership opportunities.

BRON Studios first television production is the eight-part thriller Shadowplay, which Davoli will executive produce. In partnership with StudioCanal’s Tandem Productions and created by Måns Mårlind (The Bridge, Midnight Sun), the series goes into production next month in Prague.

The announcements were made by company chairman Aaron L Gilbert, to whom Davoli and Gilbert will report.
