Big Media picks up Outdoor catalogue

US distributor Big Media has bolstered its catalogue ahead of next month’s Mipcom market by picking up more than 450 hours of content from US cablenet Outdoor Channel.

Outdoor has selected Big as the exclusive distributor of its original adventure, lifestyle and reality series such as Survival Science and Dropped.

The deal follows Big Media’s sale of Hollywood Weapons (24×30’) to global streamer Netflix.

Katie Gladstone, VP of programming and planning at parent company Outdoor Sportsman Group, said: “This new distribution deal enables Outdoor Channel programming to reach a broader audience that may not be familiar with our content.”
