BBC2 banks on obs doc

UK public channel BBC2 has lined up a three-part observational documentary exploring the daily workings of a bank that will include behind-the-scenes access to its operations and customers.

The Bank is being produced by ITV-owned The Garden Productions, with Heenan Bhatti serving as series producer and director. It was commissioned by Emma Willis, head of docs at BBC1, BBC2 and BBC4, and will be exec produced by Zac Beattie.

The show will follow the work of staff at a high street branch and its customers, exploring how their relationship with money affects their daily lives.
