BBC explores Congo in VR

Damming the Nile travels through Ethiopia, Sudan and Egypt

UK broadcaster the BBC has launched a three-part virtual reality documentary series that explores the dangerous but beautiful Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Congo VR, produced by BBC VR Hub and BBC News, follows BBC Africa correspondent Alastair Leithead as he explores Congo’s capital Kinshasa and delves into how politics and war have affected the country.

The show is now available to view for free on the BBC VR app and also takes viewers into the rainforest, where they come face-to-face with Eastern Lowland Gorillas.

Congo VR is a sequel to VR show Damming the Nile, which takes viewers to Ethiopia, Sudan and Egypt to explore the water politics surrounding the world’s most famous river.
