Scrap Kings is distributed by DCD Rights

UK-based back2back Productions has secured a third season commission for The World’s Deadliest… and a second run of Scrap Kings.

The World’s Deadliest… (13×60′) is being produced for the UK’s 5Spike and Australia’s Seven Network, while Scrap Kings (20×60′) is being produced for Quest in the UK, Sweden’s Viasat World and Germany’s ProSieben.

The former title is a long-running franchise from the Brighton-based indie that uses first-person testimony and user-generated content to explore how split-second decisions can make the difference between life and death. The third run is being sold internationally by Passion Distribution.

Meanwhile, Scrap Kings follows companies as they look to profit from dismantling tower blocks, ships, tanks and bridges to secure construction material to be resold. It is represented internationally by DCD Rights.

Back2back is also behind Stunt Science (10×60′) for 5Spike, which has been picked up by Netflix internationally in a deal brokered by Hat Trick International, while Crazy on a Plane (6×60′) is produced in association with TCB Media Rights and debuted on Sky’s Pick last month.

In November the producer appointed Anna Boronat as head of production, with Claire Hamilton taking up the post of senior production executive and Mitzi David moving into the role of junior production executive.
