MIPTV: Italian production outfit Pesci Combattenti has acquired its first international format, an Israeli gameshow.

The Bubble, developed by Armoza Formats in cooperation with Avri Gilad, isolates contestants for a week before bringing them to the studio and presenting them with the week’s current affairs to decide fact from fiction.

The show has already been adapted in countries including Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands and on the UK’s BBC, while a 30-episode season is also airing on Croatian pubcaster HRT. No broadcaster has yet been named for the Italian version.

Riccardo Mastropietro, CEO of Pesci Combattenti, said: “Having developed our own original formats in the last years, and as a well-known creative production company in Italy, we are thrilled to be taking this new step forward in bringing this successful format to Italy.
