Acorn to stream Line of Duty in US

BBC crime drama Line of Duty was previously on Hulu

North American SVoD service Acorn TV has acquired US streaming rights to the latest series of BBC crime drama Line of Duty, which was previously seen on Hulu in the States.

The Jed Mercurio-penned series is heading into a fifth season on BBC1 in the UK, with the previous four airing in the US on Hulu.

The six-episode S5 will air on Acorn in 2019 at the same time as its UK bow following a deal between the streamer and Kew Media Distribution. The deal also includes the back catalogue of four seasons, three of which are available now and the fourth which will come online on November 26.

ITV-owned World Productions is behind the show, which stars Vicky McClure, Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar as officers charged with investigating corruption within the police force.
