Discovery Kids has acquired US Hispanic and Latin American rights to Iconicles (26×30’), the animation/live-action hybrid that first broadcast on UK children’s channel CBeebies.
Discovery plans to air the show in April. Canada’s TVOntario has also acquired show from Australia-based vendor Beyond Distribution and is scheduled to broadcast it later this year.
The show comes from Creative Media Ventures and Phuuz Entertainment, in association with Dinamo Productions. CBeebies originally ordered the show in 2007. Australia’s ABC is also attached. Iconicles follows a young explorer-inventor who uncovers a digital world inhabited by musical animals.
