Jonas Larsen will henceforth be in charge of talent development and relations at the US cablenet. The LA-based exec will also have oversight of the Roast franchise, the annual Night of Too Many Stars benefit and Comedy Central stand-up specials.
He reports to Kent Alterman, head of original programming and production, who credited him with steering “the wild tiger” of the recent Charlie Sheen show. “For that alone, he deserves this promotion,” said Alterman.
Larsen was previously VP of specials at Comedy Central. Prior to joining the channel and exec-produced Celebrity Fit Club for VH1 and Tabatha’s Salon Takeover for Bravo. Through his company Y27 Entertainment he also co-developed “1 vs 100” for NBC.
