Züm hires Netflix, Electric alum

Fledgling Portland-based prodco Züm Media, set up by Jose Behar and Todd Hoffman, has added a former Electric Entertainment exec to lead sales.

Zac Reeder has been appointed head of worldwide distribution at the firm. Reeder previously headed Electric’s domestic division, where he oversaw sales, acquisitions, marketing and distribution strategies for films and television projects.

Prior to that, he worked in global content and acquisitions in Netflix’s features unit, and has also worked within Hallmark’s SVoD service.

Reeder also spent time as a partner and founder at Circus Road Films and headed acquisitions for MarVista and PorchLight Entertainment. His executive producer credits include Electric’s Dean Devlin-backed series The Outpost.
