Zorro makes mark in Asia

Broadcasters in Asia have acquired animated series produced and distributed by France’s Cyber Group Studios, including Zorro: The Chronicles.

Spectrum picked up Zorro: The Chronicles for Indonesia and Sri Lanka

With the Asia Television Forum set to kick off in Singapore next week, the company revealed it has sold more than 250 half-hours in the region in the past three months.

Spectrum in Indonesia and Sri Lanka has taken rights to Zorro: The Chronicles (26×22′), the latest reboot featuring the masked hero, produced for France Télévisions and Rai in Italy.

Meanwhile, in South Korea, Key Intermedia has taken the second season of Zou (156×11′), Mademoiselle Zazie (78×7′), Adams Bakery (52×13′) and Grenadine Peppermint (78×7′).

Also in Korea, Iconix has taken Mademoiselle Zazie to broadcast on Skylife while JCG has picked up Adams Bakery for its Kids Talk Talk channel.

In Taiwan, Good TV picked up The long Long Holiday (10×26′), the French animated series produced by Les Armateurs about the Second World War told through the eyes of children.
