Zodiak Kids adds four for MipJunior

IMC Toys’ Cry Babies Magic Tears

Zodiak Kids, the children’s production and distribution arm of Banijay Group, has acquired four series that it will offer at MipJunior in Cannes this weekend.

Super Agent Jon Le Bon is a 45×90″ series of animation shorts based on the comic books of the same name. Aimed at children aged six and over, the show is produced by Quebec-based Happy Camper Media for CBC Kids, Radio Canada and Groupe Média TFO. A full 39×7′ series is currently in production and is expected to be delivered at the end of 2020.

Family-friendly series Babyatrice, meanwhile, follows the contemplations of a very outspoken four-year-old girl. Both the first (18×5’/4×22′) and second (19×5’/4×22′) seasons will debut in Cannes, while a third (20×4’/4×30′) season has been commissioned for 2020. Babyatrice is produced by C’est Même pas Drôle (Echo Media and Melomanie) for Radio Canada.

Also going to MipJunior are all four seasons of upper-preschool series Cry Babies Magic Tears. Seasons one (12×3′) and two (26×5′) are available now, while the third season (36×5′) is coming late next year and the fourth (26×5′) is scheduled for 2022. Cry Babies Magic Tears is produced by UK toy manufacturer IMC Toys for YouTube.

Finally, preschool series Percy’s Tiger Tales is a 52×11′ animated series produced by Luxembourg-based Fabrique d’Images and Skyline Animation. When Percy and his friends put on disguises and get into character, anything becomes possible and every problem gets a miracle answer. Four additional 26-minute specials are currently in production.
