Zimmerman looks to Horizon

NEWS BRIEF: Warner Horizon Television, Warner Bros’ newly formed low-budget programming division, has appointed a head of scripted programming.

Shelley Zimmerman is the new senior VP of scripted programming, supervising all scripted series development for the unit, which launched in April to produce series for cable and broadcast networks as well as emerging media platforms.

Zimmerman comes from Tollin/Robbins Productions where she was president of television development, working on series such as One Tree Hill and Smallville since 2000. Most recently she was a producer on the company’s NBC comedy Crumbs.

In May, the division named David Auerbach as senior VP of alternative programming and Alan Saxe as senior VP of business affairs.
