ZDFneo orders shortform comedy

Teacher on Withdrawal centres on a teacher working remotely

German public broadcaster ZDF’s younger-skewing channel ZDFneo has ordered a shortform comedy series from Endemol Shine Group’s recently launched scripted label MadeFor Film.

Written by Tobias Oelle and directed by Sinnan Akkus, Teacher on Withdrawal is about a young teacher attempting to teach from a digital classroom. Filming of the shortform series has already begun.

MadeFor Film launched in Berlin earlier this year and is led by producers Nanni Erben and Gunnar Juncken.

The prodco is also currently in production on Tatort, Frau Jordan Stellt Gleich for streaming platform Joyn and Marie Catches Fire for ZDF.
