ZDFE, Tuvalu’s One Bad Apple tempts NENT

One Bad Apple is coproduced by Tuvalu and Germany’s ZDFE

Nordic entertainment company NENT Group has joined Germany’s ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE) and UK-based Tuvalu Entertainment as a partner on supernatural drama series One Bad Apple.

Created and developed by Tuvalu, One Bad Apple is a returning series about a teenage girl who is the daughter of the devil.

Mercy Emerson enrols in an English boarding school and proceeds to take over the local town, as she works on destroying the Holy Grail, buried near the school, in order to bring her father back to life.

Tuvalu is coproducing the 10×48′ series with ZDF Enterprises, while NENT Group has joined as a partner on the project.

One Bad Apple is written by father-daughter team Gavin Scott and Rebecca Scott (Small Soldiers, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles), while Game of Thrones line producer Petur Sigurdsson has joined the creative team.

Tuvalu’s Paul Johnson is showrunner and exec producer of the series, which is expected to premiere in fall 2020.

Icelandic director and cinematographer Eagle Egilsson (Gotham, LA’s Finest, CSI) has joined as director.

“In today’s world, where sustaining character and honesty comes at a premium, One Bad Apple can make one question their perspective. Through the eyes and minds of Mercy’s devious yet charming character and her nemesis, the kind and resourceful Lydia, we experience the classic human battle between love and hate where the future of mankind everywhere is at stake,” said Egilsson.
