Discovery helps trap Insectibles

MIPCOM: Discovery Kids Asia has joined German public service children’s channel KiKa and distributor ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE) to coproduce a CGI animated adventure series, C21 has learned.

Insectibles (52×11’) will be produced by Singapore-based prodco One Animation and distributed internationally by ZDFE.

The HD adventure comedy is aimed at 6-9s and follows a young boy, a crazy old man and three bio-mechanically enhanced insects who have all been downsized by a shrinking machine.

The first 13 episodes will be ready in May 2015, with full delivery in December.
