Zak Storm brews in Europe

Zak Storm centres on a surfer kid who finds himself captaining a ship

Broadcasters around Europe have acquired Zak Storm, the animated action-adventure comedy conceived by the creators of hit toon Ben 10.

Super RTL in Germany, Pop in the UK, Discovery Kids in Italy and Canal Panda in Spain have acquired Zak Storm (39×26′) from PGS Entertainment in France.

Spacetoon in the Middle East has also acquired the CGI animated series, which is aimed at children aged six to 11 and follows a regular surfer kid who finds himself the captain of a ship full of misfits in the Bermuda Triangle.

Other broadcasters on board the series include Telekids in the Netherlands, DeA Kids in Italy, SIC in Portugal, RTS in Switzerland, MNC Group in Indonesia, Kidszone 24 in New Zealand and Family Channel in Canada.

The series comes from Man of Action Entertainment, creator of Cartoon Network’s Ben 10 franchise, and made its debut on Canal J in France in December 2016.

It is produced alongside Man of Action Entertainment by Zagtoon and Method Animation in France, the same firms behind the animated series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, plus SAMG Animation in South Korea and MNC Animation in Indonesia.
