Your Family picks up Arnie toon

Germany’s Your Family Entertainment has secured international rights to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s new kids’ cartoon, with the former governor of California here in Cannes today to promote it.

Your Family has struck a deal with producer A Squared Entertainment (A2) on The Governator as part of a broader pact that will see the US company repping its German partner stateside.

The series, which sees SpiderMan co-creator Stan Lee tranform the former California governor into a crime-fighting superhero replete with cape, will be unveiled at MipTV this week, Schwarzenegger having swept into town last night accompanied by police cavalcade.

As well as repping The Governator (left), Your Family will also distribute a number of other A2 original shows featuring Warren Buffet and Gisele Bündchen. Your Family operates its own eponymous TV channel in German-speaking Europe, plus TV channels for mobile devices.
