Youngest Media adds Electric Ray alum

UK producer Youngest Media has appointed a former Endemol executive and ex-creative director at Sony-backed producer Electric Ray as its chief creative officer.

Shaun Parry will oversee the producer’s creative output and strategy, working closely with former Endemol Shine execs David Flynn and Lucas Church, who launched Youngest Media in 2016.

Parry’s credits include: BBC2’s Million Pound Menu, which has been sold to Netflix; ITV2 reality show Bromans; Channel 4’s Alone at Home; and BBC1’s Doodlebugs, Electric Ray’s first scripted comedy commission.

Before joining Electric Ray, Parry was head of entertainment at Endemol UK, where he co-created BBC1 quizshow Pointless and ITV2’s Almost Impossible Gameshow.

Flynn described Parry as “a brilliant, versatile creative and executive producer.”

Parry added: “Youngest Media have a growing reputation for innovation. They’re uniquely set up to turn an idea into anything, from an app to a TV show, and take it to broadcasters and platforms anywhere in the world.”

Earlier this year, Youngest Media struck a deal with The Story Lab, the content arm of global advertising giant Dentsu Aegis Network, to launch joint venture Youngest Labs to create content and formats for broadcasters and brands.
