Yellow Affair keeps Scandi drama Between Us

Between Us is written by Ole Marius Araldsen

MIPCOM: Scandinavian sales agent The Yellow Affair has acquired rights to a relationship drama launching next month on TV2 in Denmark and Norway and is looking for international buyers here in Cannes.

Between Us focuses on two couples, telling the story from all four perspectives as it examines their trust and mistrust in each other.

Created by Ole Marius Araldsen (Maniac, Kieler Street) and actor Nicolai Cleve Broch (Beforeigners, Acquitted), the 8×42’ series is produced by Anne Kolbjørnsen (Kieler Street, Maniac, Lilyhammer) for Anagram Norway.

Broch stars alongside Agnes Kittelsen, Lærke Winther and Johannes Nymark, with Eigil Langmark (Hæsjtægg) and Charlotte Sachs Bostrup (Something’s Rockin’) directing.

Between Us is written by Ole Marius Araldsen (Maniac), Marie Hafting (Unge Lovende), Patrik Syversen (Kieler Street), Jesper Sund, Anna Neye and Tone Mygind Rostbøll (My Auntie’s Tall Tales). The series is in post-production and will air at the beginning of November.

The Yellow Affair CEO Karoliina Dwyer said: “This is a project we immediately fell in love with as soon as it was pitched to us. Producers Anne Kolbjørnsen and Ole Marius Araldsen have a great eye for material and an impeccable track record.

“We have already received very positive feedback from key industry players for broadcast, streaming and remake rights. We have no doubt that this contemporary and easily relatable story with well-balanced drama and humour will find its audience worldwide.”
